About BEST Robotics
BEST Robotics, which stands for Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology, is a nationwide program inspiring students to pursue careers in engineering, science, technology, math and business through the participation in the BEST competition.
BEST is comprised of hundreds of hubs with over 850 schools, over 12,000 students in 19 states in 4 Regions thoughout the country. The BEST Regions are: Texas BEST, Frontier Trail's BEST, Northern Plains BEST and South's BEST, which is the region MACH competes in.
South's BEST region is comprised of 17 hubs in 6 States: Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee. In the past, South's BEST Regional championship has been held at Auburn University, but the 2023 season will take us somewhere new; likely either Mississippi State University or the University of South
During the competition, teams compete for the BEST award and are judged in 5 areas:

Last season, MACH competed in Emerald Coast BEST, a BEST Robotics hub located in Pensacola, Florida. MACH placed first for the BEST award, first in Spirit and Sportsmanship, first in Exhibit and Interviews, first in Marketing Presentation, first in the Website Design Challenge, second in Robot, and third in Engineering Notebook.
After moving on to the regional competition in Auburn, MACH made history, placing second in the BEST award, second in Marketing Presentation, second in Engineering Notebook, third in Spirit and Sportsmanship, and first place Team Video.
